With all buses loading, the schoolyard is very congested. Parents wishing to pick their children up at school should be aware of the limited space available for their parking and should not attempt to leave the yard until all buses have departed.
When school buses load or unload students, the drivers are required by law to display their red flashing lights. The same laws that govern traffic on the highways and prevent vehicles from passing buses displaying red flashing lights are in effect in the schoolyard, driveway, and parking lot. Drivers of vehicles in the schoolyard must be very careful not to pass a bus that has its red lights flashing. The same fine levied on the highway for passing a bus that is displaying flashing red lights applies in the schoolyard.
Under the current guidelines of operating a school families must select only one pick-up and drop-off location for the school year. Should the pick-up or drop-off location need to change, we require 5 school days’ notice.
